Dependent upon the quantity, quality, and packaging of applicable waste materials, SLE has a large network of facilities available for the beneficial reuse of these materials. Not only will beneficially reusing hazardous and non hazardous waste save your company money but it will also help your business achieve green initiatives!

Composting

COmpost

SLE has established a great working relationship with a premier composting facility located in North Carolina. This relationship has given us the ability to take applicable organic materials that are currently being landfilled and turn these materials into a nutrient rich compost. The compost that is generated in this process has the ability to enhance plant growth and make our surrounding areas a more beautiful place to live!

These soil mixes contain no harmful chemicals or biosolids, resulting in a purely organic material that is safe to use in any type of environment. These products are consistent in color, texture, and nutrient levels, yielding a truly dependable and reliable product. Typical applications for the compost are landscaping, organic gardening, athletic fields, and golf courses.

Ethanol Recycling

Due to establishing trusted relationships with chemical recycling vendors throughout the United States, SLE has the ability to take their customers ethanol based hazardous waste and recycle the contained ethanol*. In this process, the ethanol is recovered and refined into fuel grade ethanol as a high octane automotive fuel. Not only does each gallon of recycled ethanol reduce our country's need for imported oil but it can also help your company minimize the amount of hazardous waste generated on an annual basis.

The following are examples of ethanol byproducts that SLE can have recycled:

Biofuel Production

Since 2008, SLE has been recycling oil byproducts from their manufacturing related customers located throughout the Southeastern United States. In this process, the oil is transported to various Biofuel manufacturers in North Carolina in order to help provide these companies the resources to produce the highest quality biodiesel available (B100).

The most common oils appropriate for this recycling process are clean coconut oil, soybean oil, fish oil, as well as other vegetable and seed based oils. Biodiesel is a cleaner burning renewable alternative to petroleum diesel fuel which helps the well being of our planet’s environment and makes the world a cleaner place to live! This is another one of the many services that SLE provides to help your company achieve green initiatives!
